At Kingswood College we are rethinking our approach to learning so our students can face the future with confidence.
Developed from extensive research, our Future Learning model removes many of the existing barriers to education so students have more opportunity to achieve their best.
It uses proven strategies to expand traditional classroom structures, and encourages students to broaden their horizons through collaborative, project-based learning.
Future Learning promotes an array of cross-curricular skills in a physical learning environment. And enables teachers to be both mentors and facilitators who support students’ growth so they can thrive.
A key component of the model is the Global Citizens Program, a hands-on learning experience that immerses students in the wider community. This program is one of the first in the world to align with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals. It allows students to discover how life is shaped by global events and how they can contribute to the lives of others.
Kingswood College is still the same welcoming and inclusive community where every student belongs. But the school day looks and sound different – there’s no bells and a much more flexible timetable. Each day involves exercise and the traditional school uniform has been replaced with an activewear wardrobe.
Future Learning educates students so every Kingswood College graduate leaves school as a responsible global citizen; generous, creative, caring, curious and courageous. Someone who is ready to make a difference in the world.
