As the Olympics draws nearer, we wanted to highlight some of our future Olympic Athletes in the making! OSCAR NIIZEKI (Year 10) - We are delighted to congratulate Oscar for his recent achievements in Fencing, particularly placing 10th in the Individual Men's Sabre Event at the Commonwealth Cadet Championship! In the Team event, Oscar and his team were proud to bring a Silver Medal back to Australia! CHELSEA BIGGS (Year 10) - Chelsea has excitingly been chosen to represent the Team Victoria U18 Soccer Team! We wish her all the best as she embarks to Perth for the National SSV Tournament in August! SAWAKO FUJIIE (Year 12) - The College was proud to award Sawako with the Pierre de Courbertin Award, for demonstrating a high level of interest and outstanding contribution to Kingswood’s Sports Program. This prestigious award is organised by the Australian Olympic Council and takes place on an annual basis to recognise senior secondary students who demonstrate attributes consistent with Olympism with a particular emphasis on participation and commendable behaviour in sporting activities. The College is also proud to acknowledge Sam Lewis (Year 7) for being selected for the 13 & Under State Water Polo Team; and Eliza Richards (Year 9) who despite at only 14 years of age, has been selected to play for the Camberwell Senior Women's Lacrosse Team! We also wish Madelaine Regalado-Jones (Year 7) all the best for her upcoming state swimming championships in Term 3! We have so many incredibly talented students at Kingswood College and we look forward to continually supporting the sporting endeavours of so many! #Excellence at #KingswoodCollege
