Subject Choices

At Kingswood College, we empower students to shape their educational journey through a diverse and carefully designed subject selection program. From Years 8 through to VCE, our subject offerings foster curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking, allowing each student to explore their passions and strengths while developing the skills needed for future success. 

Elective Subjects

In Years 8 to 10, students at Kingswood College enjoy access to a dynamic range of semester and year-long electives that span the creative arts, technology, sports, science, food studies, music, languages, digital innovation, and performing arts. 

For our Middle School, these electives allow students to delve into personal interests and cultivate practical skills in a flexible and engaging learning environment. With a focus on choice, independence, and academic challenge, our Year 10 offerings fosters both readiness and confidence for the VCE years.

VCE Subjects

Kingswood College offers an extensive selection of VCE subjects that cater to a wide array of interests, aspirations, and post-school pathways, as well as a handful of VET certifications alongside the VCE.

Each VCE subject at Kingswood is underpinned by rigorous academic standards, guided by passionate and inspiring educators. With opportunities to explore university prerequisites, future careers, and lifelong interests, students are supported through a personalised and future-focused academic journey.

VET Subjects

Students also have the opportunity to broaden their study interests, with the choice of around 35 external VET subjects. Studied at local TAFEs and Training Providers, students receive an industry-specific, nationally recognised qualification which contributes to their VCE results and ATAR.
