Our Principal

Chrissy Gamble is a personable and articulate leader with a passion for creating exceptional educational experiences for young people.

I’ve been an independent school educator all my life and have a strong sense of what really matters for young people and their families.

At Kingswood College, we are ambitious about academic outcomes. The great strength of our school is our teachers who make sure that every student is challenged every day.

The benefits that come from being challenged in a learning environment is something that has always interested me. My Master of Education thesis explored the role accelerated learning can play in the progress of gifted and talented students.

Kingswood College is a truly inclusive environment. We understand that achievement looks different for different people. We know our students individually and we are prepared to challenge what needs to be challenged to prepare them for the future.

Award Winning Principal

In 2024, Chrissy was named in The Educator’s 2024 Hot List.

This award recognises influential figures in the Australian K–12 education sector, highlighting their contributions to innovation, strategic initiatives, and student wellbeing.

I am a visible leader. I want young people to know me, to feel at ease and understand I want them to aim high. As Principal, my focus is to provide genuine care, to know each young person and to value our partnership with their family. This relationship is vital for great learning outcomes.

Chrissy's Background

Prior to her time at Kingswood College as Deputy Executive Director of Independent Schools Tasmania, Chrissy supported 32 independent schools, collaborated with the Tasmanian Education Department and Catholic Schools Tasmania to enhance senior school student outcomes, and strengthened resources for independent schools.

As Principal of Christ Church Grammar School, Chrissy oversaw enrolment growth, and at Cranbrook School in Sydney, Chrissy played a key role in improving student outcomes and shaping a refreshed vision. Earlier, as the first female Head of Junior School at Scotch College in Western Australia, Chrissy fostered leadership development and improved student outcomes, and at All Saints’ College in Perth, she led significant growth in enrolments and student performance.

With extensive experience in educational leadership, Chrissy’s passion for education and leadership is evident in her unwavering commitment to aspiring for excellence in every role. It is wonderful to see her driving the rollout of our new ambitious strategic and master plans, which have been developed to transform our school’s future.
