Principal - Chrissy Gamble

Chrissy Gamble, Principal

Chrissy Gamble commenced as the Principal of Kingswood College in 2023.

Chrissy is a personable and articulate leader with a passion for creating exceptional educational experiences for young people.

A strong advocate for the value of independent schools, Chrissy is deeply committed to fostering and sustaining excellence within vibrant educational communities. She has a natural affinity for building relationships and strengthening community, and is dedicated to helping both students and staff achieve their personal best.

With almost 30 years of experience in independent schools across Australia, Chrissy has taught and led from Kindergarten through to Year 12. Her career spans classroom teaching, governance, advocacy, funding programs, strategic planning, and curriculum development.

Chrissy holds a Master of Education from Murdoch University and a Bachelor of Arts (Education) from Curtin University. Her Master’s research focused on gifted and talented students and the role accelerated learning plays in supporting their development.

Deputy Principal - Georgie Jones

Georgie Jones, Deputy Principal

Georgie is an experienced school leader and educator, appointed as Deputy Principal (K–12) at Kingswood College commencing in January 2026. 

Most recently, she served as Head of Middle School at Caulfield Grammar School, where she led the strategic, academic and wellbeing direction of the Middle School and worked closely with staff and families to strengthen teaching excellence, student engagement and culture.

Across her career at Carey Baptist Grammar School, Methodist Ladies’ College and the International School Ho Chi Minh City, Georgie has built a strong reputation as a Middle Years specialist with a deep understanding of adolescent development and the critical importance of these formative years. Having worked exclusively in K–12 school settings, she brings a broad perspective on the full educational journey and understands how the Middle Years both shape and are shaped by the years that precede and follow them. She is passionate about creating learning environments where young people feel known, challenged and supported to grow in both character and capability.

Georgie also brings significant experience in senior schooling, having taught across VCE, the IB Diploma Programme and IGCSE. Her work with the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) as a VCE examiner and examination developer has provided her with deep insight into curriculum design, assessment standards and the demands of high-stakes senior assessment, enabling her to support strong academic outcomes alongside student wellbeing.

At the heart of Georgie’s educational philosophy is the belief that learning and wellbeing are inseparable. She understands that strong relationships, clear expectations and high standards create the conditions for young people to flourish, and she is committed to building connected, values-driven communities where both students and staff can thrive.

Locum Director of Business - Brenton Smith

Brenton is an MBA-qualified Chartered Accountant with more than 39 years’ experience across large enterprises, SMEs and the education sector.

Throughout his career, he has led teams and managed people, resources and organisational change with a focus on delivering sustainable outcomes.

He combines deep financial and operational expertise with a collaborative and people-focused approach. Passionate about making a positive difference, Brenton values listening, engagement and partnership, helping to build strong relationships and a positive culture across all levels of an organisation.

Head of School (K-6) - Amy Lovell

Amy Lovell, Head of School (K-6)

Amy Lovell commenced as the Head of School (K-6) in 2020. 

Amy brings a wealth of experience to the classroom and the Executive Team, having taught across a range of year levels, and various subject areas, from Prep-Year 12, since 2001, and having been a key leader at Carey Baptist Grammar School’s Junior School from 2005-2020. 

Amy has a Bachelor of Arts, a Graduate Diploma of Education and a Graduate Certificate in Education (Specific Learning Difficulties), all from the University of Melbourne. She has led curriculum reviews, implemented significant learning programs and is committed to ensuring every child is given the opportunity to be challenged in their learning. 

Amy recognises that the quality of a child’s early years and primary education is pivotal to shaping who they are as a learner and a young person, and is committed to individual growth and personal best. 

Head of School (7-12) - Lisa Sacristani

Lisa Sacristani, Head of School (10-12)

Lisa Sacristani commenced as the Head of School (7-9) in 2023.

 Lisa is an experienced middle years’ leader, and prior to joining Kingswood College, she was the Head of Junior Secondary (Middle School) at Donvale Christian College. Lisa worked at Donvale Christian College for more than a decade and held a range of leadership positions including Head of Year 9, as well as teaching English, Humanities and Sport to secondary students. 

Prior to Donvale, Lisa worked at a number of other schools in teaching positions across a range of settings, as well as owning her own business. At the heart of Lisa’s educational philosophy is the power of relationships. 

Lisa understands what it takes to build strong communities, and her hope is that every student in her care will develop an imperviable identity, one where they have a deep sense of their value and worth, know who they are and that they belong. In 2021 Lisa completed her Master of Education (Leadership) at the University of Melbourne.

Head of People & Culture - Tina Flyger

Tina Flyger, Head of People & Culture

Tina Flyger commenced as the Head of People and Culture in 2024.

With a belief that people are the cornerstone of any organisation, Tina brings over 15 years of invaluable human resources experience to the table. Tina’s collaborative approach involves partnering with executives, managers, and teams to collectively develop, design, and deliver strategy. 

Tina is not only a seasoned People & Culture leader but also a relatable, dynamic, and approachable professional with a wealth of experience in both schools and industry. Her expertise plays a pivotal role in nurturing our staff and students, enhancing collaboration, and driving our College towards a bright future.

Carla is a dedicated and compassionate teacher whose commitment to excellence and supportive approach empowers her team, ensuring every voice is heard and idea valued.
