Wyvern Young Women Scholarship

For female students commencing at the College in Years 5 to 11 for 2027 and 2028.

Wyvern Young Women Scholarships at Kingswood College recognise students who demonstrate strong academic performance and excellence in one or more cocurricular areas. These scholarships are designed for young women who show leadership potential, positive character, and a commitment to contributing meaningfully to the life of the College.

Scholarship applications close on Wednesday 2 September, 2026.

About the Wyvern Young Women Scholarship

Wyvern Young Women Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate academic strength alongside excellence in areas such as art, music, performance, or sport. 

Successful applicants are expected to display a positive attitude towards learning and school life, and to embody respectful, resilient, and motivated character traits aligned with the values of Kingswood College.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

Applicants are expected to demonstrate:

  • Strong academic performance relative to year level
  • Well developed learning skills and academic curiosity
  • Commitment to personal excellence and effort
  • Capacity to contribute positively to the academic culture of the College.

How Applications Are Assessed

Wyvern Young Women Scholarships are awarded through a multi stage assessment process that includes:

  • Review of the submitted application and supporting documents
  • Shortlisting based on submitted application and supporting documents
  • Interview with the Principal for shortlisted applicants.

Required Application Documents

As part of the application process, applicants must upload the following:

  • A copy of the student’s birth certificate
  • Proof of Australian citizenship or permanent residency (if applicable)
  • The student’s two most recent school reports
  • The most recent NAPLAN results (if applicable)
  • Copies of any relevant academic awards or achievement certificates

Scholarship Value and Conditions

Wyvern Young Women Scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the Principal and offer a part tuition fee remission for the duration of the student’s education at Kingswood College. Continued receipt of the scholarship is subject to ongoing engagement, commitment, and satisfactory progress.

Applicant Eligibility

  • Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents
  • Applicants must be a current Year 4 – 10 student for entry in 2027 or a current Year 3 - 9 student for entry in 2028
  • Applications are open to new Kingswood College students. Current Kingswood students are ineligible. 

By applying, students are confirming their intention to remain part of the Kingswood College community for the longer term.
