3-Year Old Kindergarten
Discover, Explore, Grow: A joyful beginning to learning
Choosing a 3-Year-Old Kindergarten is one of the most important decisions families
make.
At Kingswood College, our 3-Year-Old Kindergarten program provides a safe, nurturing
and engaging environment where children can explore, create, play and develop
confidence at their own pace.
Located on our beautiful Box Hill campus, our program supports children's social,
emotional, cognitive and physical development through a carefully planned play-based
curriculum led by experienced early childhood educators.
Learning Through Wonder and Discovery
Three-year-old children are naturally curious about the world around them.
Through play based -based learning experiences, children are encouraged to:
• Ask questions
• Investigate ideas
• Explore the natural environment
• Develop communication skills
• Build friendships
• Strengthen independence
Our educators carefully observe children's interests and create learning opportunities
that extend their thinking and encourage meaningful engagement.
Building Confidence from the Start
For many children, 3-Year-Old Kindergarten is their first experience of learning within a
group environment.
We place strong emphasis on helping children:
• Develop positive relationships
• Establish routines
• Build self-confidence
• Learn emotional regulation
• Strengthen communication skills
These early foundations support future learning and wellbeing.
Part of a Larger Learning Community
As part of Kingswood College, children enjoy access to a wider educational environment while remaining within the security of our dedicated Early Learning Centre.
From specialist learning experiences to interactions with the broader school community, children begin developing familiarity with the campus that will support a smooth transition to 4-Year-Old Kindergarten and eventually Prep.
Attendance Options
Families can choose to enrol their child in the program for 2, 3, 4 or 5 days each week.
The specific days of attendance can be selected to suit each family's circumstances, subject to availability when enrolment is confirmed.
At Kingswood College we proudly work to fulfil our vision to embolden hearts and inspire minds in a nurturing environment, on land that holds deep cultural significance to the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. We acknowledge and honour their Elders, past and present, and extend our respect to all First Nations people. Whenever we gather, and wherever we gather, we extend respect and dignity to the first inhabitants of our country and acknowledge the truth about the country on which our school has stood and now stands.
