International Students

Kingswood College warmly welcomes international students in Prep to Year 12. Our dedicated International Student Coordinator provides comprehensive support to each student and their family throughout their partnership with us, assisting with international education arrangements as well as accommodation and welfare needs.

Kingswood College operates under the legislative framework, which comprises the Education Services for International Students (ESOS) Act 2000 and the standards of the National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to International Students (The National Code 2018).

Assessing Educational Qualifications

International student applications are submitted via the College's online application portal. Supporting documents to be uploaded with the application include:

  • Birth certificate
  • Passport
  • Visa (if applicable),
  • Most recent two semesters school reports
  • English language testing report results (eg. AEAS report)
  • English language school reports
  • Other educational certificates (if applicable)

Assessing Educational Qualifications

An international applicant's educational qualifications are assessed against the requirements of the relevant year level of the Australian curriculum. The Victorian Curriculum F-10 achievements standards are relevant for students seeking entry to Prep to Year 10, and the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) achievement standards are relevant to students seeking entry to Year 11.

Entry requirements for international students

A grade equivalent to ‘at-standard’ for the relevant core subjects. The College may assess the educational qualifications of prospective international students by requesting (where applicable):

  • Educational certificates
  • The most recent two semesters school reports from the school the student attended internationally or in Australia
  • Course materials from the school/s attended internationally and/or in Australia in the previous year
  • ELICOS (intensive English language school reports)

All international applicants will be required to attend an interview with the relevant Head of School and/or International Student Coordinator
