By Chrissy Gamble, Principal
This week, we had the privilege of welcoming back our Year 12 scholars from 2024, who each achieved outstanding results in their VCE. As they returned to Kingswood College, they shared their journeys, reflections, and aspirations, serving as an inspiration to our current students. Their achievements are a testament to the importance of high expectations, dedicated effort, and the unwavering support of our teachers, families, and the broader school community.
This belief is at the heart of our Bold Expectations pillar, which challenges every learner to aim high, persevere through challenges, and continually strive for their personal best. Excellence is not solely defined by a final score or an award but by the growth, resilience, and intellectual curiosity that students develop along the way.
Our approach to academic excellence is built on high expectations for all students, regardless of their starting point. Whether they are mastering foundational skills in the early years, exploring their passions in middle school, or excelling in their chosen subjects in senior years, we are committed to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to strive to reach their full potential.
A culture of Bold Expectations means that we actively cultivate a learning environment where students feel empowered to take risks, embrace challenges, and push beyond their perceived limits. Our teachers play a crucial role in this journey, providing targeted feedback, personalised learning opportunities, and encouragement to help students build confidence and achieve success.
As we look ahead, we reaffirm our commitment to academic excellence for all. Our scholars of 2024 exemplify what is possible when ambition meets dedication, and they remind us that learning is a lifelong pursuit. To our current students, we encourage you to embrace the challenge, support one another, and trust in your own ability to achieve remarkable things.
Together, through Bold Expectations, we continue to embolden hearts and inspire minds, shaping a future where every Kingswood College student thrives.
At Kingswood College we proudly work to fulfil our vision to embolden hearts and inspire minds in a nurturing environment, on land that holds deep cultural significance to the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. We acknowledge and honour their Elders, past and present, and extend our respect to all First Nations people. Whenever we gather, and wherever we gather, we extend respect and dignity to the first inhabitants of our country and acknowledge the truth about the country on which our school has stood and now stands.
