Term 2 Reflections: A Celebration of Learning and Community

As we reach the end of what has been an excellent Term 2, it is a wonderful opportunity to pause and reflect on the many moments that have brought us together as a community, inspired our students, and showcased the vibrant life of our College.

We began the term with a powerful ANZAC Day Service, where students and staff gathered to honour the courage and sacrifice of those who have served our nation. Early in the term, our Year 7 students embarked on their much-anticipated camp, embracing challenges, building friendships, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. Our College community shone during the spectacular Years 7-12 Production, which captivated audiences across multiple performances. The Junior School Soirées, Mother’s Day Breakfast, and Open Mornings were just some of the wonderful events that brought current and new families together, celebrating student achievements and the strong partnerships that support their learning.

The term was also rich with opportunities for students to extend themselves beyond the classroom, including the District Cross Country, EISM Athletics Carnival, and intensive swimming program for our Junior School students. Our Senior students engaged deeply in their academic journey through mid-year exams, while our Year 9 students experienced the unique City Cite program, exploring life and learning in Melbourne’s CBD. Musical talent filled our halls with the Music Recital Evenings, VCE Music Recital and of course the Choral Spectacular and each performance was a testament to the dedication of our students and staff. Meanwhile, engaging educational experiences such as the Kingswood Talks event with Leon Furze, the Careers and Subject Selection Expo, and the Junior School Production added to a rich and varied calendar.

This term has also been marked by meaningful moments of reflection and action, including our Sorry Day Assembly and the launch of the House Performing Arts season, which promises to continue the excitement into Term 3.

Thank you to our students, staff, and families for making Term 2 such a success through your enthusiasm, hard work, and unwavering support. We wish all our families a restful and enjoyable holiday, and we look forward to welcoming students back on Monday, 28 July, ready for another term of growth, discovery, and progress.
